This site contains information, data, documents, policies, procedures, guidelines, images and general material prepared by School for Life Foundation(SFL) wishes to make available the information to better inform the community. In particular, the linked information and reference materials are intended solely for the information of the user. SFL does not accept any liability for any injury, loss or damage incurred by use of or reliance on the information.

School for Life Foundation is endorsed by the ATO as a Deductible Gift Recipient.

Donations over AUD$2.00 are fully tax-deductible but are not refundable. A Tax-Deductible Receipt will automatically be emailed for all donations over AUD$2.00 provided that a valid email address is supplied.


Any information on this website may include technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. Furthermore, the information may change from time to time without any notice. Whilst the information is true and correct at the date of publication, changes in circumstances after the time of publication may impact on the accuracy of the information. SFL is not and will not be, in any way, liable for the accuracy of any information printed and stored or in any way interpreted and used by a user.


To register for the School for Life Foundation (SFL) Kosi Climb for Kids you must be 16 years of age or older on event day. Entrants aged 0 to 15 must be entered by a parent/guardian and must be accompanied at the event by a parent/guardian.

Each participant must agree to the disclaimer and these terms and conditions before participating in the event. All participants take part at their own risk and a disclaimer waiving all claims against SFL and any party acting on its behalf must be completed by all entrants. Registrants must be capable of completing the full distance for Kosi Climb for Kids (13kms), start line to finish line.

By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during their participation in SFL Kosi Climb for Kids to be used to publicise School for Life events. Participant number bibs are specific personal identifiers and cannot be exchanged with or sold to any other person.

All entry fees are non-refundable, and cannot be deferred towards a future event, nor can an entry be transferred from one event to another. Entries are non-transferable. Registration closure is determined and announced when event participation reaches the established capacity or a pre-set date.

All participants must acknowledge and agree that personal information (including medical information entered on their event number or collected by event medical staff during or after the Event) can be stored, used and disclosed by the SFL in connection with the organisation, promotion and administration of the Event and for the compilation of statistical information.


What follows is a list of terms and conditions for users setting up, managing and contributing to fundraising pages on this website.

Users must:

Ensure that any content that is uploaded (including photographs) is not obscene, offensive, defamatory, racist or discriminatory to any group and does not breach any law or regulation or any intellectual property rights of a third party or any right or duty owed to a third party. (NB: copyright owner’s written permission from the owner must be obtained for any copyright protected material prior to it being used on this site)

Not use the site in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, any interruption, damage or any other impairment to the site or access to the site

Not use the site to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation

Not use the site to send spam email or junk email

Not use the site for any kind of competition or forwarding scheme

Not use the site for any criminal, negligent or unlawful purpose (including but not limited to defrauding others into releasing passwords, harmful or malicious destruction of data, injection of computer viruses, intentional invasion of privacy, password cracking or denial-of-service attacks)

Not attempt to modify, adapt, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any portion of the site or to bypass the network firewall

Not use any part of the site which you are not authorised to use or devise ways to circumvent security in order to access part of the site which you are not authorised to access. (This includes but is not limited to scanning networks with the intent to breach and/or evaluate security, whether the intrusion results in access.)

If you become aware of any content which breaches any of the above rules, please notify us immediately by emailing hello@schoolforlife.org.au.

School for Life Foundation reserves the right to remove any content from any page without notice at its sole discretion.


School for Life Foundation will be happy to provide an exchange or refund on goods that are received damaged or deemed faulty. Refunds will not be given for change of mind. 

If the wrong size has been ordered, we will be happy to exchange to the correct size in the following circumstances:

On any SFL branded merchandise purchased at a hosted SFL event (Event) or via the online store, providing the item purchased is returned in its present condition within fourteen (14) days of purchase;

On any SFL branded merchandise purchased at an event not hosted by SFL or from a registered 3rd party seller of SFL merchandise, providing the item purchased is returned to SFL in its present condition within fourteen (14) days of purchase

Please be aware that shipping costs are non-refundable and the cost of return shipping will be the purchaser's responsibility. For all return requests, please email hello@schoolforlife.org.au with your order number and for further instructions.

Items not in their original condition (outside of goods received damaged or faulty) cannot be exchanged or refunded.


A confirmation letter and tax-deductible receipt will be posted or emailed within 72 hours of receipt of payment.

Cancellations of tickets occurring less than seven (7) days prior to an event will incur a 10% administration fee.

Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to an event will forfeit full payment. Substitutes can be made at any time.

SFL will not provide a refund in the following circumstances:

The monies received is by way of a donation, unless that donation is made in error and SFL is advised, in writing, within 24 hours of the error being made;

The payment to SFL is made for any auction item, silent auction item or raffle ticket at an SFL-run Event;

All payments made at events not hosted by SFL, but where the proceeds are subsequently donated to SFL.


All transactions are in Australian Dollars (AUD$).
Transactions will appear on your credit card statement as School for Life Foundation.


Participants shall assemble 30 minutes prior to their allocated start time. Participants shall then proceed to the start line or starting point.


Any participant who refuses to obey the directions of the event officials, course marshals or medical personnel, or who conducts himself/herself in an unreasonable manner, or who is offensive by action or language to officials, volunteers, participants or other walkers on the route may be asked to finish and leave the event immediately.

If course marshals or medical personnel have deemed the participant unfit to continue the walk, their word is final and must be adhered to.

Please be mindful that the course is shared with the public and event bibs are used to identify Kosi Climb for Kids participants and to record any medical issues, so please be sure to keep this on you at all times. 


Participants must follow instructions as given from all event officials including staff, volunteers, medical personnel, security officers and local rangers throughout the duration of the event.

All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous manner during their participation in the event. This means, for example, that urinating or defecating anywhere on or near the course shall be strictly prohibited except in toilet facilities. 

Every participant shall be provided with an event bib number, which shall be conspicuously worn on the front during the event. The event bib number is to be worn as issued. No participant shall be permitted to participate in the event without the appropriate bib number.

All participants must write their name and details of any health problems or medication on the reverse of the event number, which must be worn on the front of their shirt during the event.

Baby joggers, baby strollers and wheelchairs, are permitted on the walking track. Participants with strollers and wheelchairs must make themselves known to registration staff so that appropriate assistance can be provided for the chair lift and to get safely on the walking track.


Participants are responsible for their recognition and understanding of event signage, symbols and colour relating to participant maps, facilities and direction. Participants will be able to collect a walking track map at registration, which we highly recommend all participants take with them on the course of the walk.

Medical personnel authorised by the event to do so may examine any participant who appears in distress. If in the sole opinion of authorised medical personnel it is in the best interest of the participant’s health and welfare, medical personnel can remove the participant from the event.

Participants must retire at once if ordered to do so by a member of the event’s official staff, official medical staff, or any governmental authority, including fire and police officers.

Participants are responsible and assume liability for any and all medical expenses incurred as a result of participation in the event, including but not limited to ambulance transport, hospital stays, physician and pharmaceutical goods and services.

Event officials reserve the right to delay, cancel, alter the route or suspend the due to inclement weather in accordance with Emergency Protocol on severe emergencies and/or inclement weather. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.


Event officials reserve the right, to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the event rules.

Participants shall be bound by any modification or supplement of the event rules published prior to the event.


In agreeing to participate in the Event, I agree as follows: 

I fully understand and acknowledge that the Event has 

(a) inherent risks, dangers, and hazards; 

(b) my participation in the Event may result in injury or illness including, but not limited to bodily injury, disease, strains, fractures, partial and/or total paralysis, death or other ailments that, could cause serious disability; 

(c) by my participation in the Event activities, I hereby assume all risks and dangers and all responsibility for any losses and/or damages. 

I, on behalf of myself, my personal representatives and my heirs, hereby voluntarily agree to release, waive, discharge, hold harmless, defend, and indemnify School for Life Foundation and all its Directors and members from any and all claims, actions or losses for bodily injury, property damage, wrongful death, loss of services or otherwise which may arise out of participation in the Event. 

I specifically understand that I am releasing, discharging, and waiving any claims or actions that I may have presently or in the future. I understand that I am responsible for informing School for Life Foundation or the Event organisers of any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries that may affect my ability to participate in the Event.
